Precision Grinding

Precision Cylindrical & Internal ID Grinding

Back to print, in the same building we plate and spray in — no handoff between operations.

Why it matters where you grind

Plating and thermal spray both add material. Something has to take it back off, precisely, to bring the component to its finished dimension. That step is grinding, and it decides whether the rebuild actually meets the drawing.

We grind in the same building we plate and spray in. A worn roll can be built up and brought to size without shipping to a second vendor between operations — which removes a handoff, a freight leg, and a place for the schedule to slip.

Grinding services

  • Cylindrical grinding — outside diameters on rolls, shafts and rotors
  • Internal ID grinding — bores, sleeves and housings
  • Finish grinding of hard chrome plated surfaces
  • Finish grinding of thermal spray coatings
  • Honing

Components we grind

  • Coater rolls
  • Hydraulic ram shafts
  • Bearing diameters
  • Pump rotors
  • Sleeves and housings
  • Conveyor components

Paired with inspection

Ground components can be verified before they ship — magnetic particle inspection to ASTM 1444 and liquid penetrant inspection to ASTM 1417, both as revised, are in-house.
