Solutions

My part is corroding

A thin dense chrome layer, without meaningful dimensional change.

Corrosion protection does not need much chrome — .0001" is enough to put a dense barrier over the substrate while dimensional change stays negligible. It is a common ask on water treatment plant components and anything else that lives wet.

Where corrosion has already taken material, the same process rebuilds it, up to .050", and grinding brings the part back to print.
