I can't get the part any more
Older equipment outlives its supply chain. That is repairable.
When an OEM drops support, a working machine can be stranded by one unavailable component. Repairing the original is usually faster than sourcing a replacement that no longer exists — and where the part is genuinely gone, CNC machining can make it again.
