My part wears out too fast
Put a harder surface on it than the one that keeps failing.
If the same component keeps coming back, the substrate is the wrong material for the duty. Rather than replace it with more of the same, add a wear surface: hard chrome for sliding and low friction, tungsten carbide where abrasion is the problem, or a chrome oxide or aluminum oxide ceramic for the hardest service.
